برای انجام کاری، به ویژه یک کار یا مشکلی که نیاز به همکاری دو طرف دارد، هر دو طرف مسئولیت دارند. به عبارت دیگر، برای اینکه یک مسئله یا اختلاف به وجود بیاید، معمولاً هر دو طرف در آن نقش دارند و نمی‌توان یک طرف را مقصر کامل دانست.
